Father Enoch has recovered!!!!

Today is such a wonderful day, is it not?

Father Enoch has recovered as of this afternoon and I am so happy for him. After many treatments of Valerian and Mandrake, he has made an astonishing recovery.

It couldn't have happened at a better time. I was so nervous being in such a position of high responsibility. I want to thank all of you who helped me gain the courage to do do such a job.

May the Wolf guide you all!

Headmaster Assistant????

Father Weston had a talk with Nicolai today about assisting Father Enoch while Arius recovers. He declined! There isn't anyone else to fit the position, I thought!

Father Weston called me into his quarters today and requested that I do it! I can't believe this! I said, "Father Weston, I hardly have the skills to communicate to the community and handle outside affairs!" and he replied, "A boy who can kill a Lougarou and ensure that no one else is hurt surely possesses leadership in his heart. I am not asking you to do this, I am instructing you to."

What an honor! I hope I will not let anyone down. I am gathering my things right now and moving over to XIII.

I've killed someone.

I understand that what I did was out of survival. It just doesn't set right with me now. I'm awake, unable to sleep. I can't get that picture out of my head.

Poor Emery. I can't help but think that he really didn't know what he was doing. What can one do when becoming something that they have always believed never to exist?

Arius is messed up pretty bad. Emery threw him through a wall. Well, the Lougarou version of Emery. He's got 3 broken ribs and a broken arm, not to mention a lot of bruises. He told me that it is going to keep him bed ridden for a few weeks. Tomorrow, Father Weston is going to name the next person to take over while Father Enoch is sick. I wonder who it will be? Probably Nicolai. He's got really great leadership skills, and he's experienced in health. He doesn't care too much for technology though. I wonder how that's going to work out.

I hope the Sons of Loki get what's coming to them. I'd like to see them burn if they're responsible for what's happened to Gatewood. It's not fair. It's not like I can just leave here any given time and start life all over again somewhere else. I wonder if people outside do that. I sure would. I hear people talk of a place called The Cari-bien. It sounds so nice. Lots of water, sand, silence. I have seen pictures of it here on the web. The sky looks as if it was painted by the Great One himself. I can see that he put much love into that place. I wish he had put love into this one.

More Photographs!

Pictures of Gatewood!

Finally figured out how to use this camera. I took some pretty random pictures, as I was too excited to think about what I was photographing. The first is inside where I stay, and the others are various places throughout Gatewood. I hope you enjoy them.

How many more must be taken?

As most of you already know, Anna's body has been found. There is a rumor that her body was discovered in the same condition as that of Athena's.

I am not sure how true this is, but it has thrown nothing but more questions before me. Who could do such a thing? Why? What did she do to deserve this? I am beginning to think that maybe Caine was right, maybe there is a war brewing. Maybe our soul purpose in life is to die, and maybe the Great One takes satisfaction in our destruction.

I don't know what to believe anymore.

Tonight's Divination

Our focus in tonight's divination was to try and locate Anna. Father Weston felt something suddenly, and now is searching the grounds. He doesn't want any of us out of our buildings until tomorrow. I really hope she's safe. She's only 13, she's got a whole life to live. If the Great One really loves what he has created, then why does he let such things happen to us? All I can do right now is hope for the best.

A poem of loss

The Reaper And The Flowers

is a Reaper whose name is Death,
And, with his sickle keen,
He reaps the bearde
d grain at a breath,
And the flowers that grow between.

``Shall I have noug
ht that is fair?'' saith he;
``Have nought but the bea
rded grain?
Though the breath of these flowers is sweet to me,
I will give them all back again.''

He gazed at the flowers with tearful eyes,
He kissed their drooping leaves;
It was for the Lord of Paradise
He bound them in his sheaves.

``My Lord has need of these flowe
rets gay,''
The Reape
r said, and smiled;
``Dear t
okens of the earth are they,
Where he was once a child.

``They shall all bloom in fields of light,
Transplanted by my care,
And saints,
upon their garments white,
These sacred blossoms

And the mother
gave, in tears and pain,
The flowers she most did lov
She knew she should find them a
ll again
In the fields of light above.

O, not in
cruelty, not in wrath,
The Reaper ca
me that day;
'Twas an angel visited the green earth,
And t
ook the flowers away.
