Candlelight Ceremony

The ceremony was very fun. I had a great time watching the fathers work in unison, lighting the candles. It's very interesting how everyone came together tonight. Isabel still hadn't gotten my note. I wonder what had happened to it. It doesn't matter though, I told her in person and it made her laugh. I have also received a camera from an unknown sender. I'm not quite sure how to use it yet. Hopefully I will figure out how to develop pictures on it soon.

The actual ceremony went very well. The only thing that went wrong was a little bit of chaos behind Gatewood V. It seems a large group of dead animals, torn apart, were found in the vicinity. I went to go check it out, but Father Weston asked for my assistance in getting the ceremony ready. When I attempted to ask Father Enoch later, he dismissed the question with a wave of his hand, and lectured me on how I should focus my mind more on studying than on trivial matters of dead animals. I did sense a little hindrance underneath that aggravation.

Back to the camera, hopefully I will figure out how to process it to here. It states that it is DIGITAL. Hmm. Cords, clips, pieces, and cylinders. If Father Enoch sees this it shall definitely be confiscated. I'll make sure I hide it in a very secluded area.

Sorry to leave like that for so long of a time. I had to tend to my studies. It seems that more of us are getting better. I continue at my own pace. These books are so tedious though. I really can't stand them. I wish I could get away for a while. Heh. A little break would be useful. I shouldn't talk like that though. The only way to get better is to practice and study.

Recently, I have drank a lot of tea and stood up long nights trying to get a little better. Hopefully it will all pay off in the end. Father is talking about receiving a shipment of goods from a monk temple far off from here. I hear that there is going to be some exotic looking foods in the package. I have to help the others load up the harvest soon, it seems the bitter cold is setting in earlier this year.

Oh, and it seems I have made contact to someone outside Gatewood in my Divinations, someone named Sylvia. It was spelled very strangely though. With numerous vowels. I gave the name to Father Enoch. He rewarded me with extra time on his computers. More time to study the works on the outside world I suppose. Fascinating.

Hm.

Well, I am new to this technology. Hopefully I will get in more time to learn more about it. I'm starting this "blog" to record the events I experience here at Gatewood. It's a nice place. Some times harsh and unforgiving. Hopefully I can persuade Father Enoch to let me on this device more often. It's nice to learn the controls as you go along. This pointer is the most fun though. The things that come from the outside are amazing. The whole system is a mystery.

I have to get back to the library for more studying. It is getting close to dinner, also. I wonder if I will be able to help prepare the meal today. More so, I wonder what we are serving. Possibly a nice onion and leek soup? Well, I'm going. I suppose I'm trying to stretch my time... Bye.
